FUCK SHELL! LIFE IS WORTH MORE THEN $112.85

I say boycott the fucking bastards... cheap fucking company and heartless.
I never read the news paper, it is filled with lies and bullshit, but today I decided to, I grabbed it from a empty seat on the commuter train.
I was skimming and came across the title of "SHELL SHOCKER"
I heard about how this man Jayesh Prajapati was killed tragically by some asshole who decided to to do a "Gas and dash" fill it up and take off.
If it was me and probably if it was you... fuck it, let them go. This is not a family owned business, this is SHELL, they have been in Canada since 1911 and make billions... not a small company, they can take a loss like that.
Well from what I have been reading, shell employees in some cases have been told if a "Gas and dash"takes place they are being docked!
One lady who was working for a Canadian tire gas station was told "Pay the loses or leave"
She left, incidences like this and several other cases have been reported to the Ontario federation of labour.
Shell apparently made a statement saying that they are saddened by this tragic loss of life, and something about a trust fund.
Sorry... this man who was the bread winner of his home, who was probably sick and tired of getting his pay docked because of these "gas dashers" stuck his neck out to save your company $112.85.
You cant pick up the funeral tab?
You make BILLIONS...
You big companies talk about saving the environment, supporting the community and all nice and happy things you to make us all believe that your company does no wrong.

Jayesh Prajapati leaves behind his son and wife.

Fluoride: The hard to swallow truth...

This short documentary looks at the initial theories behind the effectiveness of fluoride and where it originated. It goes on to show the lack of science behind the use of Fluoride and reveals Fluoride as a toxic waste substance that is being pumped into our drinking water. The documentary will conclude by delivering the “hard to swallow truth” of fluoride which pertains to why it is actually used.

Sad news for book lovers...

Not to mention people like myself who love to see stores and buildings remain just like the way they are  and not be changed.  Change is good to a point, but also if things are not broke you should not fix it.
In this case a developer is dropping 38 million for the site to build exactly what this city needs more of... condos!
Sickening, condos are a plague and really trendy not to mention way over priced and small.
It is sad to see this store go after 25 years, I could always find the most interesting books and I always bought christmas presents here (Narnia Bookends, owl cups)
Toronto is becoming so over priced and douche bag driven...
Stay away from Honest Ed's and Kensington please.

FROM THE TORONTO STAR...

It could be the final chapter for the World’s Biggest Bookstore.
The Toronto landmark — 64,000 square feet worth of the written word on everything from Tao to travel — is expected to close in 18 months after dominating the same downtown block for almost 25 years.
Indigo Books & Music, which owns the bookstore, had been seeking a “significant” reduction in rent from the store’s owners, citing a downturn in business. And while the lease on the iconic property near Yonge and Dundas Sts. doesn’t expire until December 2013, the property is already in play.
One condo developer has reportedly offered $38 million for the site, just 30 metres from what’s being touted as “Canada’s busiest pedestrian/tourist/retail destination.”
But the owners, descendents of book retailer Jack Cole — who revolutionized retailing in 1980 by converting a bowling alley into the sprawling superstore — are determined to find a new retail tenant.
“The decision to not renew the lease at the end of 2013 was based on a thorough review of every facet of our World’s Biggest Bookstore business,” Indigo spokeswoman Janet Eger said in emails to the Star.
“In the meantime, we’ll be working towards a seamless transition for our valued customers and employees, the details of which are being finalized.”
Eger said last night that negotiations are continuing, but the leasing agent said he hopes to finalize a new tenant within the next 90 days.
In many ways, what’s happening to World’s Biggest is the story of the book industry, which has been a victim of dwindling profits and, more recently, e-readers.
World’s Biggest — which the Guinness World Book of Records says actually isn’t anymore — may have boasted 20 kilometres of bookshelves and more than 4,000 different cookbooks, but regulars found it had become cheaper and more convenient to buy books online.
That way they could also avoid the store’s blindingly bright fluorescent lights and the challenge of finding a comfortable place to sit — something that’s never been lacking at Indigo sister stores with their plush chairs and coffee counters.
“The existence of a large retail space like this, just steps from Yonge and Dundas is the hen’s tooth of all hen’s teeth — incredibly rare,” said broker Stuart Smith, vice-president of the urban retail group for commercial real estate company CB Richard Ellis.
“I’ve had the biggest of the big (retailers) looking at it from all over the world.”
The big draw is location, location, location. The store sits in the epicentre of a condo boom that’s added tens of thousands of shoppers to the downtown.
While it may not have a door on Yonge St., the property is within steps of some pretty major downtown developments.
They include a major expansion of the nearby Ryerson University campus and, just around the corner, construction of Canderel’s 78-storey condo and retail complex, the tallest residential condo in Canada. Those projects, and others, are expected to kick-start a major remake of Yonge St.
The two-storey building also offers bargains of another kind: Leasing costs that are almost unheard of downtown at roughly $25 per square foot, plus $8 per square foot in operating costs and taxes. (Yet for a property that size, the rent is $1.5 million a year.)
For property right on Yonge St., costs are a combined $150 to $200 per square foot, said Smith.
“It’s a suburban site (in size) with suburban taxes in a completely urban environment,” said Smith. “It’s the biggest thing to come up for rent downtown since Maple Leaf Gardens,” now a bustling Loblaws.
But that may, in fact, be its downfall, said one commercial broker: “It’s a dubious distinction downtown being big.” Few retailers could take over the entire space and it may have to be divided.

Cheaters, biters, love to forge...

Nothing I hate worse when someone takes a design of another artist and claims it as their own.
I came across a design on this guy facebook wall about a year ago that was a total rip off of the a clothing line from L.A. called DISSIZIT. This guy and I were pals in public school and he is a big HIP HOP DJ in Toronto now, he did not design it, he had someone design it for him not knowing of this obvious bite. I was only looking out for my friend, who is to say DISSIZIT comes after him, because he was going to use it for promotion use I believe. I actually found the guy who put it togther and he claimed that they stole it off him.

REALLY...

I am not boasting but I am connected... and I talk to a lot of people. It took me no more then hour to get in contact with SLICK (the owner) of DISSIZIT. I sent him the pics, and the guys facebook page. All if it was down with before the afternoon.

Anyone who knows me and my musical taste, I am a big HOUSE OF PAIN fan, ever since 92. Social media sites are good to keep up to date with what your favorite artists are up and I follow these guys. I keep up to date on concerts, new videos, and side projects. Dannyboy has a very popular clothing line called "HELLFIRE CANYON CLUB", very interesting and stuff I like to wear.
Not knocking him or his line, but I do not think he is making enough money off this to live comfortably yet. Still it is making moves and the clothing is all uphill, I see guys like Apathy rocking them in his videos and even OBEYS Shepherd Farley has been photographed sporting a HELLFIRE Tee.
I am not a fan of Ed Hardy, Tapout, Extreme Couture and Affliction... not saying who wears them are all douche bags, but those brands are primarily worn by douche bags. Not to mention they are EXTREMELY TACKY...
A few weeks back Dannyboy posted a picture of a total rip off of his shirt, the guilty party was AFFLICTION. You guys are making shit loads of cash, the UFC is so popular and shit loads of these fans are buying one of the brands I mentioned above. Yet you feel the need to steal a design off someone else's design  and essentially take money out of his pocket.
I made this and posted it...
What kinda dirt is that...

I met this guy named Michael Cestra who runs his own line B-TOWN AKA GUERILLA, he does it all and is a very hard worker. I had the chance to listen to him speak about the in's and out's of this business. It was a eye opener to say the least.
He sent me this not to long ago... I need to share.
Well here's the story.  I set out this year to push my brand, and get into the eye's of the mass.  Keep in mind I'm a one-man-show, designing, creating, printing, and just doing everything that would involve a team of people in the game (streetwear).  I've sent packages out to who I think could give me a little boost/attention on the internet.  One pack was sent to L.A. to a streetwear giant a couple weeks ago.  I have a list of clothing lines/sites I run through on the net, just to see what the others are doing out there.  And I found this yesterday, see attached link, THE HUNDREDS.  I found a quote similar to mine, mine is "Hurting The Best, Poising The Rest", theirs "You've Had The Rest, Now Try The Best",... it could be coincidence.  I believe some artist/creators are on the same wave length, it's just a little weird.  I'll just leave it up to the mass on the decision who got it out first.  My design was printed up in January, them,.. they just released their summer line.

Then we got this...

Not the design but the slogan sounds like someone got some ideas from Mikes slogan.

Congrats Mike, B-TOWN up in weSEWsick...

Check mikes stuff HERE B-TOWN!
