Happy 42nd Beck...

I was right into hip hop growing up, but in my late teens things started to change. I started hanging out with skaters, hippies, rockers, burn outs and punks. My town had a lot of people who listened to Rap music, but I would not consider most of them b-boys. The "Rappers" as they were called were the in crowd and mingled with the preppies, needless to say I was not part of those groups.
Hanging out with different crowds who had different and diverse taste in music I got turned onto lots of different new stuff. I do not remember who introduced me to Beck but I took to him right away when he dropped "Mellow Gold" I can remember getting wasted, busting moves to "Beer can" and "Soul sucking jerk" That album was a like a summer anthem to me.
